There are lots of things going on here at Quilt Routes!
Mainly in my head it has to be said, but I am working on some new designs.
I am not being deliberately secretive but things are not working out to my satisfaction just yet and today I have decided to take a break and do some domestic sewing, finishing off a table runner and place mats that have been sitting around unfinished for quite a while.
What sewing are you doing today?
Linking up with Off The Wall Friday.

I like them all the tall skinny tree make me think of VanGoghs cyprus trees. Beautiful.
ReplyDeletewonderful pieces and I love the flower stems. I am working on some punch needle pieces.

Sometimes when things are not working out the way you like you need to take a step back and work on something else.
ReplyDeleteStepping back from something that's not working right is the best thing to do - it's amazing how those little problems you considered now, are not there (certainly not to the same degree) when you go back to a project - take heart and try something new for a while .... we have faith in you ;o)
ReplyDeleteDeborah, I really like the way you have combined hand and machine stitch work. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWell the sneaky peeks of cyprus trees and all certainly have my interest. But sometimes you need to step away. I've finished my tablerunner so finally I can tick a box. I like that feeling!
ReplyDeleteLove your hand-embroidered flowers. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me that your embroidery is really enhancing those fabrics. I look forward to seeing the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteYou have my interest peeked with your sneak peeks. I am looking forward to see the whole piece. I've been working on quilting a present for a bride and got tired of it (I really prefer quilting art quilts!) and so I took the time to make some rice bags for gifts.
ReplyDeleteIt looks intriguing, a little Persian applique, a little hand embroidery, free motion and straight line stitching - all good in my book! No sewing here except a little hand stitching during naptime. Two grandkids staying the weekend keeps us in stitches:)
ReplyDeleteso glad you gave us some close ups - its nice to see how the stitching really adds something to the piece and its not all about the pretty fabrics!
