  5. I want to do an art quilt though I actually haven't started yet - though it's more a special occasion quilt using the fabrics from that day to turn it into the scene of the event. At least that's the idea - weather I can convince the fabric to do what I want is another question all together. So maybe it's not an art quilt after all...

  6. I definitely love art quilting and want to do more this year. I love the idea of using the quilt machine to do stitching, so I will be practicing free motion too.

Hand dyes from any fellow quilter are real treasures - its fascinating to see how every dyer does their own thing and the effects that are obtained - if I was fortunate enough to be the lucky giveaway winner I think I'd have to go with the greens and I'd love to see how they worked in a project with my own hand dyed fabrics - thanks again Deborah for having this giveaway

  103. What a lot of beautiful fabrics! They're so gorgeous.

I haven't really done any kind of art quilting before, except for some very small fabric postcards which might maybe fit into that category. (And most of those wouldn't have.) One of my favourite blogs to read Believe Magic does this really lovely art quilts and she's recently started selling kits (hers feature women doing different things or revealing different facets of their personalities), which I bought, so that I can try it out. I'm both excited and slightly terrified about the idea.
