Craftsy Giveaway Day!!!

Well here we are, as promised, the chance to win THIS class over at Craftsy.
Quilt As You Go Patchwork Bags with Tara Rebman.

I am not going to lie to you, when I was first approached about a bag making class I was not overly keen because I didn't really think that bag making was my "thing" or something that would really reflect the kind of thing that I do here on this blog.

However, after popping over to the Craftsy website to take a look. I soon realised that this class is all about the type of quilting that I like to do. Although I don't share many of my quilts here on this blog, those of you that follow my exploits over here will know that random, liberated, free formed and is exactly the type of quilt making that I like to do for myself.

I also have to confess after the "bag making" I had to do for City and Guilds,( functional and arty) I swore I would never make another bag. Fast forward a few years and I find that I would quite like to use some of my fabrics to knock up a few bags and not so long ago purchased a book that would tell me how to do just that. The items in the book are lovely but the instructions in it have left me a bit cold, so I was thrilled when I saw that this class shared projects with the aesthetic I was after, with the help of step by step video tutorials. Win, win!

Wouldn't you like to know how to do some of  this?
If you have not explored the delights of Craftsy yet then I do recommend that you take a look at what they have to offer. There is a whole lot more than just quilting going on over there.
I have taken a couple of quilting classes myself and was glad that I did.

All of the above photos are taken from the class and are not of me trying out the techniques in case you were wondering Ha Ha!!

    1. I too thought about doing some painting and attaching to canvas and then ripping it up to make into bags a few years ago. I have not got past the gaint roll of canvas in the corner and some test practice swatches of techniques. This may well push me on with that. I have a hapbbit of collecting supplies ready for a sunny day.
