August Journal Quilt
After a busy busy time I just wanted to sit with some hand stitching, so this is my offering for August's JQ. It was done on a piece of fabric that I had sun printed a long time ago. It was not hugely successful, as the floral prints which were done using Mallow from the garden, came out quite pale.
I simply followed the petal shapes with big straight stitch and put some french knots in the centres.
Of course, once I had finished I found some other sun printed fabric that would have been better to use as the prints were stronger, but Hey Ho!
Until next time ...
I liked your quilt. Reminded me of the enjoyment I get out of doing embroidery while listening to favorite music.

That's nice Betty. I like to listen to audio books when I stitch.
DeleteGood save of the pale print. I like your wiggly stitching on the binding too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy. I am always looking for a quick way to finish these off :)
