...and next...
Carrying on from my last post I want to show you a close up of the sheers that I have put over the fabric strips. (Both of which were in the bag for some reason, honest!)
Here is another close up to show you how the lines of stitching flatten all the strips of fabric down. The green has been done, and now I need to do the sky area.
Background stitching done. I just need to come up with a finished design, as that is the way I am working with this scrap busting. Preparing a background with what I've got, and then seeing what it "says" to me.
Hope you come back to find out what this one says :)
Keep going - I love how this is turning out - can't wait to see more
ReplyDeleteI'll be back! :P
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like to throw scraps together and then make something to go over them, usually an appliqué, but I like what you have been doing and the art look. Need to get my air in the sewing room, getting too humid now.

What a great way to work with scraps and you have a lovely colour way running through this piece.
ReplyDeleteI think the magic is in the way you lay the background colours down together.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for what shades work perfectly together.
Its interesting and speaks, even without any other features lol
