Embellisher background #1

The colours in this one remind me of the Red Centre of Australia.

Onto tissue paper, I sketched the outline of an aboriginal carving that I have from a trip to Ayers Rock.

I had made the drawing too long so I pinned it to make it shorter.

Here it is taking shape.

The residual bits of tissue can be removed easily with some sticky tape.

Once the tissue has been removed I can get stuck into the stitching.

More stitching and a outline.

Some spirals finish it off.

My jaw dropped when I saw this - love it
Need to see if I can get embellisher needle set for ordinary sewing machine

I really love how it looks with the stitched design and quilting, the fabrics really work well with this kind of piece.
